About the North Carolina Industrial Hemp Association

The North Carolina Industrial Hemp Association (NCIHA) is a 501(c)(6) trade organization that represents all the stakeholders helping to build a thriving hemp industry in North Carolina.

We support the growing, processing, and sale of hemp and hemp products within North Carolina in a responsible manner. Through education, dedication, and development, we believe that North Carolina can be accelerated to the forefront of global growth in industrial hemp.

  Blake Butler, Executive Director   Blake Butler is the co-founder of HempX and has been involved in the political, business, and activist side of industrial hemp industry in since 2014. Blake has organized hemp focused educational events in North Carolina, Kentucky, and Virginia and planted hemp for fiber and CBD with farming partners Franny and Jeff Tacy in 2017-18. Blake is also a partner in Adapt Public Relations in Asheville, NC.

  Marty Clemons, President   Marty Clemons is a passionate advocate for a bio-based economy that includes industrial hemp. Marty is a former corporate and securities lawyer and is a partner in the Industrial Hemp Summit.
